Hello

I'm Emily and I'm a Counsellor trained in the Person-Centred approach. This is a type of talking therapy which views the client as the expert. My role is to help you better understand yourself, understand what motivates you, what causes you pain and what you want from life. As your understanding of yourself deepens you will find your sense of control and ability to direct your focus will too. I have benefited from many years of therapy myself and can testify to the power of self-awareness in making the changes you want to see in your own life.

I am also a trained Life Coach and can support you to achieve your goals and overcome the obstacles getting in your way.

My practice is open to anyone of any culture, religion, gender, sexual orientation or other identity. I work with anyone aged 18 years and over.

I can work with a wide range of common issues which bring people into therapy from relationship difficulties, work problems, bereavement, coping with traumatic events past and present and low self-esteem. I have specialist knowledge in complex trauma, neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD and autism and matrescence - or the process and changing identities of women during and after becoming mothers.
